Bowling

Bowling is an indoor game in which a player attempts to knock down pins by propelling a ball down a wooden lane. Similar games were played as early as 5000 BC in Egypt. The 10-pin version was developed in the US in the 19th century, and 5-pin bowling was invented in Canada in 1908 or 1909 by Thomas F. RYAN. Today, the sport of bowling is enjoyed by 95 million people in more than 90 countries worldwide.

ICEAP NS Student Services Department held a Bowling Activity in Town Centre Lanes on Friday July 5th,2013. The activity was played by over 30 International Students who come from China, Russia, and Ukraine. Although this is the first time many students played Bowling in Canada, they enjoyed the bowling very much and made some new friends.The activity was a great success and the competition was very fierce.
