Homestay - Don and Crystal Lee

Don and Crystal Lee returned to Cape Breton in the early 2000’s after working for over forty years in various parts of Canada. Upon their return, they settled in Glace Bay and recently decided they would like to open their home to International Students. They are currently acting as homestay parents to Sang Mi Kim (Rachel) from Seoul, South Korea, and Yu Miao (Nancy) from Haerbin, China.
Yu Miao is another student who comes from Haerbin, often described as one of the most attractive cities in North-East China. After enrolling in the ICEAP NS English Program, to which she was referred by an agency in China, Yu Miao is determined to graduate from this program as quickly as possible so that she can attend CBU university in the Hospitality Management program. Yu Miao, or Nancy as she likes to be called, misses her family back in China and usually talks to them at least twice a week. Nancy loves the homestay life with the Lee family and she and Sang Mi Kim were busy baking fresh bread the day we visited.
